DIY Halloween Mummies: Learn How to Make Them!<\/h2>\n

Materials Needed:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    \n
  • 3 empty plastic bottles (of different sizes for a more fun effect)<\/li>\n
  • White crepe paper<\/li>\n
  • Scissors<\/li>\n
  • Vinyl glue or hot glue<\/li>\n
  • Yellow ochre paint<\/li>\n
  • Paintbrush<\/li>\n
  • Googly eyes (available in craft stores or online)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Instructions:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    1. Prepare the bottles:<\/strong> Wash and dry the plastic bottles thoroughly. Remove any labels or glue residue. If you prefer a matte effect, you can paint the bottles with a white base coat before starting, but this is optional.<\/li>\n
    2. Cut the crepe paper:<\/strong> Use scissors to cut the white crepe paper into long strips about 2\u20133 cm wide. The strips don\u2019t need to be perfect; irregularities will make the “bandages” look more realistic.<\/li>\n
    3. Attach the bandages:<\/strong> Apply glue to the bottle’s surface, starting from the neck down to the base. Stick the crepe paper strips one by one, slightly overlapping them to mimic wrapped bandages. Leave some edges “messy,” with raised or crossed parts, for a more realistic effect.<\/li>\n
    4. Add a weathered effect to the bandages:<\/strong> Once the bottles are wrapped, use a paintbrush and yellow ochre paint to lightly “dirty” the edges of the bandages. Apply the paint sparingly to create a worn, aged look. Let it dry completely.<\/li>\n
    5. Attach the eyes:<\/strong> Take the googly eyes and glue them near the top of the bottles, in spots where the “bandages” slightly open. Position them unevenly to give your mummies a fun or spooky look.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
