Today I’m going to show you one of the quick and easy crafts you can make with DAS clay: a DIY candle holder that you can use on your festive table or as a decoration for your home.
The material I used to create this candle holder is gold-coloured Das clay, which is easy to handle and work with. You can also suggest it to primary school children.
Below you will find a detailed tutorial of all the steps with a template to download. Good luck! 🙂

Procedure
1) Work the DAS with your hands; it needs to warm up before it can be moulded.

2) Roll out the DAS with a rolling pin.

3) Cut out the crescent-shaped template and place it on your pastry.

3) Using the craft knife, follow the outline of the bezel and cut out the DAS.

4) Take a cookie cutter and start decorating your dough. I used a small leaf-shaped cookie cutter.

5) Using a star-shaped nozzle, make lots of small holes, taking care not to press too hard or they will come away.

6) Using the small knife, make lots of small marks first to the right and then to the left of the points.

7) Using a star-shaped cookie cutter, cut out three stars in the centre of your moon.

8) Use the small knife to carve three little stars, as I have done.

9) Dissolve a little DAS in water, use it to glue the outer edges and then close your bezel.

10) Dip the brush into the melted DAS and brush the edges of the lunette.
Gently bring them together and use your fingers to try to make them stick.

11) Add a star previously cut out from the bezel and glue it onto the tip, again using melted DAS.

12) Take your template bezel and close it using a piece of adhesive tape, insert it into your candle holder and leave everything to dry in the air.

13) Once the candle holder is dry, remove the paper ring and insert your lit candle.
